The Eastside Mission of Holy Theophany Orthodox Church

Eastside Mission of Holy Theophany Orthodox Church

The Eastside Mission of Holy Theophany Orthodox Church (a parish of the Orthodox Church in America, www.oca.org) began meeting monthly in the fall of 2019. The Mission church plant was a natural development of a parish community outgrowing its beautiful temple at 2770 N Chestnut Avenue. Holy Theophany members primarily from the east and north parts of Colorado Springs wanted to see an Orthodox parish on their side of town, and the mission regularly had over 80 people in attendance starting from its first Divine Liturgy.

The COVID-19 pandemic slowed the growth of the Eastside Mission, as services were halted during the spring of 2020, but the Mission revived and began weekly Sunday services in August 2020. Currently, the Eastside Mission parish celebrates Divine Liturgy every Sunday at 9:00 AM at 6575 Oakwood Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO 80923, near Dublin and Powers. Other services, such as Saturday Great Vespers and weekday services, are celebrated with the Holy Theophany mother parish. It is a blessing to serve the Divine Liturgy on the northeast side of Colorado Springs, bringing the light of the Church of Our Lord, Jesus Christ, to this part of town.

The Eastside Mission is part of the Rocky Mountain Deanery of the Diocese of the West (www.dowoca.org). Glory to God for all things!
